Fire Sprinkler System

Sprinkler is the most important part of auto sprinkler fire extinguishing system. It can detect and extinguish fire automatically. Sprinklers with initiation temperature ranging from 57° C to 182°C can be provided according to the nature of fire risk. Latest design concealed sprinklers can be provided to keep up the places like hotels, supermarkets, offices etc. In case of fire, the sprinkler’s cover automatically drops off when the surrounding temperature is 10°C to 15°C lower than nominal action temperature of the sprinkler head. As the heat increases, the exposed sprinkler sprays water/ chemical to extinguish the fire.
They are made mandatory in many regions of the World
The whole philosophy of sprinklers is based upon the premise of applying the right amount of water (as little as possible) in the right place (the seat of the fire) at the right time (as quickly as possible). Many ordinary hazard systems used to be fed directly from the town's mains, but increasingly a water tank and pumps are being installed to guarantee adequate water flow and pressure.
Types of fire sprinkler systems:

  • Wet
  • Dry
  • Pre-action

You never know when or where a fire will start in your home or commercial premises. Imagine if you could have a fire-fighter stationed in every room - 24 hours a day, ready to stop a fire the minute it broke out. That's what these systems are - instant fire-fighters.
this system is an active fire protection measure, consisting of a water supply, providing adequate pressure and flow rate to a water distribution piping system, onto which fire sprinklers are connected. Although historically only used in factories and large commercial buildings, home and small building systems are now available at a relatively cost-effective price.
Some types of sprinklers are as mentioned below.
Control Mode Sprinklers are the standard design. These stop a fire from spreading by dumping water directly on the fire when it starts, lowering its core temperature to the point where the fire can no longer sustain its heat. This design also "pre-wets" flammable material adjacent to the fire.
Suppression Sprinklers are specially suited to work quickly and handle fast-growing and challenging fires. Instead of pre-wetting the area as the control mode design does, the suppression sprinklers release a deluge of water directly on the core of the fire-lowering the temperature quickly and efficiently. This design is often preferred in buildings containing highly flammable materials, as they quickly stop an already-severe fire from growing.
Low-Pressure Sprinklers are designed to handle fire protection needs in tall buildings where water pressure may be reduced in the upper floors. This design is often used in skyscrapers and tall tenement buildings. Using this design can be more cost-effective than other designs. It will also reduce pipe size and reduce the need for a fire pump.
These sprinklers use only about a hundredth of the water used by the fire brigade to extinguish a fire. With fire sprinkler design incorporated into your buildings, you won't need to make available all the water the fire department needs to extinguish a fire-meaning you may not have to expand the existing water supply.

All fires can be very dangerous and life-threatening. Your safety should always be your primary concern when attempting to fight a fire. A fire can double in size within two or three minutes. You should have the proper fire sprinkler for what is burning. So don’t waste the time and contact us for better solutions at info@antiflamax.com or see the contact us portal.
