Low-Pressure Sprinklers are designed to handle fire protection needs in tall buildings where water pressure may be reduced in the upper floors. This design is often used in skyscrapers and tall tenement buildings. Using this design can be more cost-effective than other designs. It will also reduce pipe size and reduce the need for a fire pump.
These sprinklers use only about a hundredth of the water used by the fire brigade to extinguish a fire.
